What Does “Yellow Sunshine Acid” Sound Like?

Anyone think we should go see a band called the Monophonics tomorrow nite for FREE? This is how they describe their music:
Touching on everything from cinematic soul, heavy funk, 60’s rock and spaghetti western laced with yellow sunshine acid.

Christmas Already?

Last nite coming home from downtown I saw THREE houses lit up with Christmas lights and displays. Isn’t it a little early?

Oregon: Vote by Mail

This is for people who don’t live in Oregon.

Tomorrow is Election Day, but there will be NO polls open. Why? We vote by mail!

In 1998, Oregon became the first state requiring that all elections be conducted by mail [or drop off box].

A ballot is mailed out about three weeks before the election date. You just fill it out and mail it in, in time to be delivered by Election Day. Otherwise, just drop it off at a ballot collection center. Easy as that!

BOOK: Trading Secrets. REMINDER – Fall Back

20 Hard and Fast Rules to Help You Beat the Stock Market
By Simon Thompson.

The market falls on the Monday following the “spring forward” changing of the clocks. Why? People are sleep deprived and apparently need a few days to catch up on that missing hour of sleep.

Opposite is true in the fall when we gain 1 hour.

You’re Homeless With 2 Starving Pitbulls? Well Come On Home With Me!

I read in the paper that a woman saw a transient with 2 starving Pitbulls, so she invited them over to her house to give the dogs some food.

The transient ended up spending the afternoon at her house, outside on the patio drinking and showing her, her hubby and friends card tricks.

When hubby and friends left to go to the grocery store, the woman went inside the house and locked the door, leaving the transient outside.

He apparently didn’t like being locked out of her house and that’s when he “became belligerent” and ended up knifing two people [her hubby and his buddy].

The woman is dismayed: NO good deed goes unpunished.

I’m dismayed that she actually thought this would end up “trouble-free”. This had bad ending all over it.
