Eating Tour of the Oregon Coast

We went to the OR coast for the weekend. This means walking on a bunch of beaches [temp in the low 60’s and lots of wind] and doing our eating tour, which consists of:

* Stopping in Eugene on our way over to eat at either PF Changs or Chipotle. These are our fav Big City restaurants. Yes, we’re simple.
* Pizza at Panini Bakery in Nye Beach [Newport]
* Blueberry and pecan pancakes at Pig N Pancake [6 locations]
* 2 scoops of ice cream at the Tillamook Cheese Factory
* If hungry before ice cream, eat seafood at little place directly across hiway 101 from Cheese Factory
* If we make it to Astoria, got to have tuna fish & chips from the Bow Picker. In fact, if you make it north to Tillamook, go ahead and drive 1.5 hours to Astoria for the fish & chips…it’s worth the drive. [that being said by a non Foodie]

It was a whole lot windier than what it looks like.

Holy sh*t. That’s insane!!

Was Ralph’s response when I told him a Bend woman won the women’s race and set a new record at the worlds longest mountain bike race along the continental divide (from Banff to Mexico), and she did it on a single speed bike.

Planted the red plant, but the pansies and sunflowers have just grown on their own.

We’re growing frogs!

A few years ago we thought we wanted a pond and put in a pond liner in our backyard. Now we realize we’re not gonna get electricity to the pond, so want to take the liner out. Except we have what looks like hundreds and hundreds of tadpoles in varying evolve-ment. From the size of — to some that have already sprouted legs. Those look rather freaky to me. Ralph put a long piece of wood in so that once they become frogs they can hop/get out.
